When I was a Boy I was a Black Panther

From the title of this book you can probably guess what is going to happen to little Bobby.

Based on the author/illustrator's fantasy from his own childhood, the story begins on what would appear to be a normal spring day in Washington, D.C. sometime in the late 1940's. But what starts out as a normal day, doesn't stay normal for very long. When Bobby turns into a real black panther living in the National Zoo the fun has only begun! Not only does he escape from the zoo but, he then proceeds to help all of the other animals in the zoo to escape. You will need to read the story to find out what happens then!
